Not fat, not thin
Yesterday when I got out of the shower I looked at my midsection and thought it looked rather round. I consoled myself that I was just bloated or something, and went about my day. This morning when getting ready for work I pulled on a pair of pants that I had worn recently, and found they were too tight to wear – I couldn’t quite get them fastened. I panicked. Fortunately found another pair of clean pants that I could wear, but it really hit me that this is serious.
If you saw me walking down the street you wouldn’t think I am fat. Compared to many, many other people I don’t look overweight. But when my clothes start not fitting (I hate to admit there are several other pairs of pants I have been keeping in my closet that are a little too tight to wear) I really need to do something. I like my clothes – I do not want to buy new ones, nor do I want to have “fat clothes” and “skinny clothes”. I just want to be able to wear what I have.
