Lazy Morning
Another morning without a run – the leg is still hurting, I think it is best to give it a break. Was up kinda late last night – hanging with hubby, watching TV and having a drink (vodka and diet tonic). I was naughty again – after work met hubby at Famous Dave’s for wings and vodka soda. I had about 10 drummies. Then at home I had a salad and some cheese, and more drinks. We had a fun night, but shouldn’t have drank so much. Not because I am feeling icky today, I feel fine, but the calories really add up.
This morning finally got up at 7:30am, did Power Vinyasa #4, love that one. Had a quick breakfast of some protein muffins I made the other night (they turned out kinda terrible, but I spread some peanut butter on them and drizzle a bit of maple syrup and it’s a quick breakfast – had the same thing yesterday) with milk while I cleaned up the kitchen. Got to work “early” just after 9am. Got an annoying email on the way to work, so I gave in and had a small piece of the wonderful brownies that were still in the break room. Fortunately they are almost gone. Strength training over noon hour today.
1:15pm OMG I just love lunch after my workouts. Today’s was left-over turkey dinner fixings from 12-29-09. Rounded it out with some frozen green beans, cottage cheese, and my half apple with cinnamon. Yum, I love lunch, lol. Workout was good, did full body warm up, then hit all the major muscles. Did 3 pretty good pull-ups; love how good it feels to do those. My newest thing is to use the Nautilus Freedom Trainer (pictured in the post) to work my arms, shoulders, back and core. I don’t follow a particular routine, just move the arms around and do a variety of pushing and pulling with some twisting for the core. I should look for some actual instructions on how to use it…
