Overslept

I overslept today – woke up at 8:40am. Don’t know if my alarm failed or I killed it in my sleep. And I slept heavy, never woke up during the night. Guess I needed to catch up on sleep after the fun/busy 4 days in Las Vegas. We had a great time, and I think I didn’t blow my diet too bad. Scale this morning said 137.8lbs.

Because I was in such a rush this morning I had a smoothie for breakfast: half a banana, scoop of protein powder, splash of milk and kefir, scoop of ff cottage cheese, 6 black berries, about half a cup frozen spinach, bit of flax seed and chia seeds. Blended it all up in the magic bullet and drank at work, yum.

The weather has taken a fabulous turn – today is sunny and about 75 degrees. Too bad I didn’t get up early enough to go for a run, but, the leg is still hurting so it may be best to give it a rest. Had a good strength session yesterday over lunch hour, although I forgot my headphones so I was left listing to the piped in music (it wasn’t too bad). Also had a nice walk with the dog in the afternoon.

Busy week ahead (its already Wednesday I know!) – all my evenings except Friday are booked, and I have extra website work to do. And to make matters worse hubby is in a pouty mood, so I wont have any time to myself, unless I get up really early (which has been hard to do since adjusting to Vegas time).

1:25pm Lunch hour today was errands: dry-cleaning and groceries. I joined a local food co-op! I am excited about that – they have so much great stuff! It’s a great source for local dairy and meat, and organic produce. Today I also stocked up on bulk foods, they have everything. I have been thinking of joining a CSA, but for this year the co-op plus the local farmers market might be enough.
