Still on “the diet”, and now have renewed zeal for it – we booked a flight to Cancun last night – 17 days to go! I would love to lose 6 more lbs; I will really have to buckle down to do it.

This morning’s cardio was 10 min on the elliptical (I started to type treadmill, lol). The hubby usually uses the elliptical, but he was sleeping in a bit (it was a late night with the vacation planning) so to mix things up I decided I would do the elliptical, then 20 min workout – Jillian Michaels 30-Day Shred. I have to admit I do like her workouts, at least what I have tried. I do not watch The Biggest Loser, nor do I plan to ever watch it – I just don’t agree with so many things about that show. But the 20 min workout was just right this morning – got my heart pumping and muscles going. Not as many calories burned as my usual run, but still pretty good I think.

I have been sipping on some Kefir - it is great for the digestive tract, and a fun change from yogurt. Here is a great tip: the sweetened bottles of kefir can be rather high in sugar, but the plain can taste really sharp. So, buy a bottle of each and mix half and half – not too sweet, not to tart!

Got in a pretty good workout at lunch: 7 min cardio warm –up followed with squat presses, shoulder work, pull-ups (2 sets of 3), dead lifts, bent-over rows, bicep curls, tricep pushdowns. Then did yoga 10 min “For Buns” – loved it. Glad I warmed up a bit, she gets right into the flow and there are some challenging poses. Betting I will feel it tomorrow.
